Richter 6.3 magnitude

On 6th April 2009, at night an earthquake measuring a 6.3 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted L'Aquila, the old town center and surrounding rural municipalities are destroyed. During the following days dozens of earth tremors come one after another, less violent but equally devastating. The zone is razed to the ground. The inhabitants of L'Aquila are terrorized, they live in their cars, awake for days. The earth tremors come one after another followed by news of other collapses. The number of victims and missing people increase, but there are news of people rescued from rubble. I spent five nights and six days in my car, reporting the enormous loss.
